Privacy Policy

What we collect

No personal information. This site has no accounts, no sign-in, no newsletter and no forms that collect personal data. You can use every feature without telling us anything about yourself.

Searches

When you look up a CAGE code or company name, the query is sent to our server so the record can be returned. Searches are not stored against any identifier and are not used to build a profile of you. Ordinary server logs may briefly record requests for security and reliability purposes, as on any website.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you agree — see below.

It uses two items of browser local storage, neither of which is sent to our server:

• theme— remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Contains the word “light” or “dark” and nothing else.
• analytics-consent— remembers your answer to the cookie prompt so you are not asked again. Contains “granted” or “denied”.

You can clear both at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful — for example how many people read a guide, or which searches lead nowhere. It is used to improve the site, not to identify you.

Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them. Google Consent Mode is configured so that analytics storage defaults to denied before the Google script loads. If you decline, or simply ignore the prompt, no analytics cookies are stored on your device; Google still receives an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was viewed.

Advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to denied permanently and are never enabled, regardless of your choice.

To change your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the prompt will appear again. Google’s own handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising

This site currently carries no advertising. If advertising is introduced in future, this section will be updated to describe the advertising partner and any cookies it sets, and you will be able to see that information before it takes effect.

Third parties

Entity data is obtained from the SAM.gov public file extract and loaded into our own database in advance. Your search is answered from that database; your query is not forwarded to SAM.gov or to any other third party.

Fonts are self-hosted, so no request is made to Google Fonts or any other font service when you load a page.

Data about companies

The entity records shown are public information published by the U.S. General Services Administration. If you believe a record about your company is wrong, it must be corrected at SAM.gov, which is the source — see contact.

Children

This site is a business reference tool and is not directed at children under 13.
