Questions, corrections and feedback are welcome. Please read the notes below first — several common questions have answers we cannot give.
We read everything. Corrections to the site’s own explanations are especially welcome — accuracy is the point of this site, and a wrong decode is worse than a missing one.
Things we cannot help with
This is an independent site, not a government office. We have no access to SAM.gov accounts, no ability to change any record, and no involvement in issuing CAGE codes. Specifically:
- To correct your company’s details, update your entity registration at SAM.gov. Changes appear here after the next monthly extract.
- To get a CAGE code, complete a SAM.gov entity registration — the request is raised with the Defense Logistics Agency automatically. See how to get a CAGE code. It is free.
- For help with a SAM.gov account or registration problem, contact the Federal Service Desk, which is the official support route.
- For questions about a specific CAGE record held by the DLA, see cage.dla.mil.
Reporting a data error
If a record here disagrees with SAM.gov, the most useful thing you can send is the CAGE code, what this site shows, and what SAM.gov shows. Note that our data is taken from a monthly extract, so a very recent change at SAM.gov will not appear until the next refresh — the extract date is shown on every result.
